Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that Quaker Meetings and Churches across the United States are on the ancestral homelands of Native peoples who loved and lived on them for thousands of years before the colonists came. We mourn the violence that was perpetrated on our Native sisters and brothers and the ways of living that were taken. We acknowledge and mourn Quakers' role in this oppression. We honor the resilience and power of our Native American neighbors today.

About the Quaker Star

The star in North Star's logo has been a universal symbol of Quaker peace and service work since the 1870s. Various versions of the star are still used today by Quaker organizations around the world. NSN is proud to be among them.
