It comprises the agreement between you, as the user of this website or any NSN microsite, or you as the recipient of services NSN provides, or you as a volunteer with NSN, and the North Star Network, as the provider of the website, the provider of services you might use, or the provider the opportunity for you to serve as a volunteer. By using this website or services NSN provides, you consent to be bound by this agreement.

The amount and type of information NSN receives and stores depends on how you use the NSN website or any microsite. 

The NSN website does not automatically gather personal information from you such as your name, phone number, address or email address. We only obtain personal information if you provide it voluntarily by contacting us through our website, through an online form or by email or by telephone, in person or by some other means. Such information will be used by NSN solely for purposes for which it is collected.

NSN does not collect personal information for commercial or outside marketing purposes. We do not sell personal information in our control. 

When you ask NSN for support, we may share information you give voluntarily to us with others to help us provide services to you. This information may be accessible to members of our network who may be involved in providing humanitarian aid or support. It may be shared with an attorney, other specialists, or other people who help us understand and assess your case and develop a solution. For example, in order to help you, NSN asks you to provide contact information and details about your situation. We need this information to reach you and to understand how we can help. In addition, when you express interest in volunteering with NSN, we ask you about your experience and interests to see if we have a volunteer opportunity that fits you.

If you make an online contribution to NSN, you will be asked to provide personal information and credit card details. This information is available, consistent with industry standards, to payment processors, banks and any provider who helps NSN handle contributions.

Internet communications can be subject to interception. If you are concerned about sending personal information via the internet, consider using another method such as telephone or personal communication.

NSN's web servers use cookies and collect logs during user visits to our websites.
